Overview
The Thief is a master of shadows, manipulation, and survival by any means. Unlike their Bounty Hunter cousin, the Thief avoids confrontation entirely unless it’s on their terms. This class thrives on deception, infiltration, and high-risk, high-reward opportunities.
They move silently, speak with silver tongues, and carry a thousand tricks in hidden sleeves. Whether acting as an urban phantom, political saboteur, or underworld broker, the Thief bends situations to their advantage, often before a blade is ever drawn.
Thieves are rarely recognized as heroes, yet in the right hands, they can shape entire events from the shadows.
Combat & Class Mechanics
Stealth Backstab (Signature Ability)
- The Thief is the only class that gains a 3x damage multiplier when performing a successful stealth backstab.
- Requirements: The target must be unaware and not currently engaged in combat.
- Backstab is melee only and cannot be attempted more than once per enemy per encounter.
Trickery & Cunning
- Excels in deception, sleight of hand, and mechanical lockpicking.
- Can disorient targets with movement feints, object misplacement, or verbal distraction.
- Thieves often alter the flow of combat before initiative is rolled.
Black Market & Network
- Access to underground contacts, smugglers, fences, and information brokers.
- Unlike Bounty Hunters, Thieves operate outside of PCA sanction and law.
- Network-based downtime actions include rumors, sabotage, or tracking goods.
Equipment Proficiencies
Weapons
- Daggers, knives, garrotes
- Shortbows, throwing knives
- Caltrops, smoke bombs, flash devices
Armor
- Light only. Designed for maximum flexibility and stealth.
- May include muffling fabric, visual distorters, or hollowed sleeves for tools.
Thieves sacrifice defense and raw damage in favor of first-strike advantage and situation control.

Skills and Skill Progression
The Thief learns new abilities at levels that follow the Fibonacci Sequence (1, 3, 5, 8, 13, etc.), representing their growing expertise in stealth, deception, and assassination.
- Tier 1 Skills: Available at level 1. Players choose 2 of 5 to start.
- Tier 2 Skills: Unlock at level 7. Players may select a Tier 1 or Tier 2 skill at each Fibonacci level.
